Disturbing video of a killer whale mercilessly dragging a SeaWorld San Diego trainer underwater for an uncomfortably long dunk has finally been released under a Freedom of Information Act request.
The video captures an orca whale named Kasatka clamping her jaws on the leg of 39-year-old trainer Ken Peters during a November, 2006 show and dragging him into her tank, according to CBS news.
Once in the water, the 5,000-pound whale thrashes back and forth, stirring up whitecaps so that it’s difficult to see what’s happening beneath.
Then man and whale disappear from view.
