Ibrahim Babangida Badamasi (born 17 August 1941 in Minna Niger State) is a Nigerian general and politician. Babangida was at the head of the junta that ruled Nigeria from 27 August 1985 to 26 August 1993 when he was forced to relinquish power under pressure from the street.
