Heavy Rainstorm Kills CPC Lawyer In Niger, Nigeria

Niger State-based legal practitioner and Counsel to the state chapter of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Joseph Kolo, was killed in a tragic manner on Thursday evening after a tree fell on top of his car during heavy rainstorm which lasted for about one and half hours.
The deceased, a 40-year-old man, was on his way back from a journey but had to park under a tree due to the heavy down pour and decided to call his wife to notify her that though he has arrived, he will be home after the rain subsides. It was however learnt that shortly after making the call to his wife, the tree under which he parked, fell and crushed his car, leading to his instant death. The body of the deceased had since been deposited at the mortuary section of the General Hospital, Minna.
