It is worthy to honor Mikel Obi by just recognizing him as Nigerian soccer ambassador and not celebrating him for winning two trophies from abroad. Just in the rime of this, how many recognition has been given to the home based soccer players. I don't believe people actually think Nigeria as a country, the giant of africa they call themselves have home based soccer league. One out of the national home based club wins the title every season but nobody ever hears anything about it and no honor or recognition has given to them. I think Nigerians and the government as well as the Sports organization should promote the home league just as other countries.

How will this help to encourage other sportsmen at home and abroad and show them the interest Nigerians attach on their achievements if only you honor and recognize them when they win two trophies from abroad and not at home.
What do you think about this?
